I finally painted the new Cat Tacos banner. The sketch is in an earlier post. My wife has already started telling me what I need to change. Any sugestions/comments?
By the way, a lot of people ask what So, cat tacos?" means or where the heck I got the name. Well, when I was setting up this blog it asked for a title so I typed this. I was going to change it later, but I didn't, so it stuck. It is a palindrome (spelled the same forwards and backwards) that I have always liked. There you have it: the origins of "So, cat tacos?".

I love it! The expressions are priceless.
Or maybe I should say "Wow", its a palindrome.

That banner rules! I still am studying your work from Mrs. McBloom. What a tour de force.

Those are some snooty looking cats. Upper crust, I'd say. hmmm...there's an old pun; Aristo-Cats.
Oh boy!! Your new banner is AWESOME!! Great to see that picture colored!! VERY COOOOOL!
Looks good, Guy. Those are some fancy-eatin' tacos!
My only thought was for a 'zestier'(?) color for the background other than the slate gray-blue. And that's probably because I'm going background-changing nuts over here with my own stuff. : )
I liked the header you had up before. But I think this one is really great too.
I love it!
Wouldn't it be fun if the cats looked like you and lorien?
I still think it's the cat's pajamas, as they say.
Clever... here is another one for you... "Was it a cat I saw?" You could do a whole book of these...
Nice illustration. Like all of your work and your blog. Looking forward to seeing more.
The dude cat would be even cooler with a monacle. The bourgeois (sp?) feel to the painting almost demands it. I also like how the siamese feet make it look like she's wearing gloves. Brilliant.
It looks great. However, If you feel it's lacking, how about a funny surprise detail? Say, a lucky mouse making his escape or looking aghast at the horror? Or darkening the background so it looks more mysterious or romantic.
Madam, I'm Adam....
Crap, now I have to go back to palendromers anonymous again
Rodney, go see Dr. Awkward. He is an expert in Palindromentia.
How clever! My daughter's name is also a palindrome.
