Illustration Friday: Tattoo

Here's a little guy that I drew this week. He has a tattoo, so I thought he would fit the topic. I plan on painting him too, but this week has been just far too busy. I'll get around to it soon. Perhaps this weekend. He was inspired by this other little steam powered critter I drew a while back and it was so fun I thought he needed a buddy.
I also did a third one that is a underwater guy. Land, air and sea... hmm...maybe a whole little series. I'll post him later. This is just another sample of the stuff I do between the real work-related sketches. Somehow it keeps me sane.

Thanks for sharing your work! It is so great to see both the sketches and the painted versions. Your colors are so rich. Do you use traditional materials or a combination of traditional and computer tools? BTW, the cat skull is georgeous!

Inventive, excellent humour, great illustrator. I enjoyed this drawing, which forced me to view all of your previous posts, and well worth the look.

Wowy kazawy!!! I loved the machine contraption...lookes wickedly dangerous...hahaha. And...is that a bomb he's holdin' on to?
Very kooky and fun, love your style.
Great work! My kids are big fans of your illos, like me.

I love these! what wonderful contraptions. They remind me of machines my son used to put together with parts from all the stuff he would take apart. (he's an engineering student now so I don't feel bad about the remote cars, etc. I would buy him only to find them dismantled within weeks)
