Illustration Friday: Superhero

I love drawing superheros with meaningless powers. I did these sketches during some meetings and then I poorly added a little color later with photoshop. For some reason I really like Mr. Rockethead. Fly (Fishing) Girl is a close second. I think I might be doing more of these as the week progresses. Later.

Good job! My favourite is Mr. Rockethead too. He certainly looks imtimidating!

Fly fishing...not really the easiest thing in the world to do so there is definitely some admiration there...nice casting of characters...

They are all great, but my favorite has to be the rocket head guy too. Love his cheesy smile. Speaking of cheese, he has the look of one of those cheesehead fans. Next is the flash guy in the left illustration. Love the look on his face too! Sewed a flash costume for my son for Halloween once. . .he is 22 now. Funny how he got older and I didn't.

These are wonderful! They remind me of the superguys on "Whose line is it Anyway?" as they mimic useless superheroes. Your heroes do have a special power, that one that makes us all laugh out loud.

Great stuff as usual, Guy! You have such a great signature style. Can't wait to see what else you come up with!

And, if you should happen to have some Star Wars ideas hovering around in that noggin of yours... He he he. :)

Have a great one!

Adrian

Your useless heroes bring me great joy Guy! Of all the incredible work you do, these are always my favorites.

I especially like the red headed girl I lovingly refer to a "Dear in the Headlights" and "The Engergizer"-- if he touches your tounge with two fingers he gives you a real 9 volt jolt you won't soon forget. And of course "Mediocre Man", he's pretty average. Of course I'm guessing at their powers and names but I think that's why I enjoy your sketches so much because it gives me a chance to brainstorm.

I can picture Mr. Rockethead tearing across the sky with his feet and arms flailing about. What a riot!
