hey man
love your stuff.some of the best illustrations ive seen. but i just wanted to know, why do you use acryllics when the effect to which you use them is the same as using water colours? my wife and i are desperate to know!
thanks!

Harry, it's part availability and part technique. Most of the little paintings I do on my blog are done very quickly on scraps of watercolor paper with whatever paint I have out at the time. I do my professional work primarily in acrylics, so it is what I use. It is a nice medium for me. I can do stuff very watercolory or, if time permits, I can push it a lot further. What you see on this site is basically the under painting stage. Does that help? Oh, and when my acrylics are dried up, I have my gauche on hand.
