This is really lame. I thought a butler with a piece of cake would be a funny image, but I missed the boat. Oh well, it was quick and I didn't have time to fix it up. Maybe I'll try something different later in the week.
I agree with creative kismet! The butler was clearly embarrassed that he had to deliver a slice of pink cake so he feigned an aura of scorn or contempt. great job!
Your *quick* illustrations are always perfect! I like the concept...though, it is rather sad...a single slice of cake with a single candle. However, the look on the butler's face seems a bit of satisfaction that his "master" is all alone on his/her birthday...so, he may be the one laughing inside!
