Sidewalk Art

I'm one of several artists doing some sidewalk art at the Terra Nova gallery in Provo. 41 West 300 North, Provo, Utah. It is part of the Downtown Provo Gallery Stroll. Friday, July 6, 6-9pm. I'm still working on my piece now. Here is a little preview. All of you Utah folks come down and check it out. I'll post the final tomorrow.

Looks great so far. I've done chalk art with my kids. It's not nearly as easy as you think. If you run into a rough spot of concrete or loose gravel it can ruin the whole picture. Not to mention the damage that can be done with a six year old girl tries to explain the difference between sea-foam and green to a four year old boy.

I'm glad you posted this. My son has an art piece in the Freedom Festival Kids art contest and the reception and opening for it is tonight at the County Health and Justice bldg. We'll have to walk over to the gallery stroll to see your finished piece. I've never seen one done with the big boxes of pastel kid chalks though. :-)

This is my kind of art. Its like grafiti, but legal, and just chalk. I guess the way to vandalize this vandalism would be to throw waterballoons at it... or pee on it.
