Hatched!

My new book, "Shelly", came out today. Wahoo! It should be available all over the place. Look for it in your local bookstores. I hope this doesn't sound like a blatant plug. I mean, I don't necessarily want you to rush out and get one, just send someone you know to rush out and buy YOU one. Heck, maybe two. Okay, so maybe it does sound like a blatant plug. Here is the description of the book from the inside flap:
According to his bossy sisters, Shelly is taking far too long to develop. Adelaide wants Shelly to skate with her. Miranda wants him to be an artist, like she is. Tallulah wants Shelly to dance and twirl. Shelly’s efforts to follow their commands— while still in his shell—make him dizzy. But when he’s left to his own devices, he has no trouble coming up with his own kind of fun. Shelly will emerge when he’s good and ready. When will that be? Only he knows! This lively story is for every kid who does things his or her way, despite pushy relatives.

Hey, wait a minute, after that sweet description, I think you'll want to buy one for everyone you know. Even that brother-in-law with the weird smell. Dallas, you know who I'm talking about...

What did you say when they said, Hey we want you to illustrate a duck still in his shell. That's a tricky one but you did it beautifully. I already pre-0rdered mine off amazon so it should arrive very soon. Can't wait! Congrats!

Funny, I never thought Ken smelled all that funny, but I haven't been around him as much as you have, so I'll trust your judgment.

If I might ask, what medium do you typically use? Looks like a traditional medium, but you never know these days...
