Sub-Level 2 progress report 4

So, I bought some old bowling lanes to make my desks out of. I was planning on using a solid surface material for my countertops, but a friend of mine told me about an old bowling alley that went out of business and talked me into getting these. With a little work they could be pretty cool. I'll keep you posted.

Fun idea! When you're up against deadlines, maybe you could rig it so that your wife could send you meals through the ball-return chute.

That's a loooong desk. What a brilliant idea. How much does a used bowling lane cost anyway? Please keep us updated!

Let us know if you have any wood to spare.

I know I don't belong here, but when I saw the bowling lanes I couldn't resist. . . great idea. . .and the floor is outstanding! (Right now I'm thinking: Damnit, Guy and Lorien get cooler and cooler every day. I'll never measure up.)

Seriously, I hear about sub-level 2 each week in RS - Lorien's good news - but I didn't realize that when she said, "We finished the floors" she meant We: Guy and Lorien. Good job, both of you. Can't wait for the sub-level-2-warming party.

Will the desk have bumpers so stuff won't get knocked off your desk by accident? Sweet idea for a desk. Hope that works out.
