Illustration Friday: Rejection

This is a recent character design job I did that got rejected. No big deal though, that kind of thing happens a lot in this buisness. It was a very fun job to work on and it is a great client, they just chose to go a different direction. Hopefully we can work together again sometime. It's all good.

Well I like it. I like how the plaid pattern ties it all together. And the kids are cute to boot.

So you post something of a quality we all strive for, something so good we stand up and shout, YES! THIS IS IT! and we show all our friends and look to see if we can get prints or t-shirts and where do we sign up for the Guy Francis fan club? and here it is, in all its awesomeness, and you say IT GOT REJECTED? ::sigh:: So now where is the hope for the rest of us? Dispair... dispair...

Sorry to hear about the rejection, these characters are top-notch. I especially like the rabbit. He's a hoot!

But what really grabbed my attention is your header illustration. I just love that cat! :D

You work is great, it's hard to believe it could actually be rejected. But you sound positive about the whole experience, a real professional ^_^
